Friday, 8/8 text

We are in Lima now. we just barely made our flight this morning! That is an exciting tale for later. This time tomorrow we will be on our way home...yay!

We just finished our last meeting. It was good. I had a good birthday. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. We leave for the aiport at 4:30am. I can't wait to see you...less than 24 hours now! Will you please bring a bunch of chap stick with you tomorrow? A boy on the trip always wanted to use mine cuz he liked it so much. He would give me his white chocolate bar every lunch and I told him I would give him some chapstick in return.

Saturday, 8/2 phone call

Marie called while I was at dinner with Gordon. The chicken enchilada had to wait while I got the report of the last few days. The bus ride was part of a journey to hot springs activity. They are located a couple of hours from their hotel in the moutains. Steph and Kels decided to not get in the water because it looked "gross". They said the canyon they had to drive through was like Farmington Canyon only worse...and bus drive drove 'way too fast'. They were all very nervous the entire ride.

The highlight of the day came when they stopped in a very small remote town. On the bus they were given Peruvian bread which they were to share with the poor children of the small town. She said as soon as the kids in town hear the bus they all come running as fast as they can. They have learned the bus people have food to share. Marie said they were the cutest, dirtiest kids she has ever seen...and the poorest! The kids from the AYS tour loved sharing what they had and even offered up the rest of their lunches to the kids from the town.

Friday, 8/1 text and email

I was going to call tonight but the line was too long. It was a hard day of work. We get to play tomorrow. Kels is sick, they are going to call the AYS doctor and get her some medicine. She is also having some anxiety issues. Pray for her. Hope all is well at home. Miss you!

i finally got a chance at the computer. We got a prescription today for Kels. The doctor just happens to be the stake president. He gave her a decongestant and something for anxiety. The decongestant really helped today. We went to some hot springs in the mountains. it was the scariest 2 hour bus ride ever, way scarier than farmington canyon. we are all ready to come home we are all pretty home sick and miss everyone. I dreamt that when i got home addy wouldn´t come to me i was so sad. we go to church tomorrow with the orphans everyone here is so fascinated wth steph and kels being twins. well other people need the computer. i love you and miss you terribly. i´ll try and call soon.

We had a great day! Kels and I dug a trench today and Steph made homemade cement.
The kids were so cute and fun!

I can't remember how to check email after a hard day at work, which by the way I have never worked so hard in my life. We got to raft down the river it was way fun. Pray for Kels, she is getting a cold. Miss you tons. Love you.
